How many like terms are in the expression:ten y plus ten z minus thirteen x minus four z plus ten plus two x y?

Well first, let's see what that looks like: 10y + 10z - 13x - 4z + 10 + 2xy Now, in order to do this you must know what a "like term" means. Like terms in an equation are terms that match up. For instance, you can't combine 10z + 10y because they both have different variables (letters) at the end that define them. So thinking that, you have a 10z and a -4z so that's 2, and you cannot combine anything else because they don't match. So the answer is 2 like terms are in the expression.
