I was hoping that you would DRAW this problem.  It'd be easier for you and everyone else to visualize it, and also eliminate any question about what you mean by "one over four," if you would do that.  You don't want to make your helpers have to ask for clarification, do you?

now use the software [allowed by teachers] to create a line between the two points, and right click the line and select properties, and its length will be in units, then divide it by 4
