Calculate U & V for: w = 2iz + 6z* where z = x + iy & z* = x - iy & w = u + iv So: w = 2i(x + iy) +6(x - iy) w = (6x-2y) + (2x - 6y)i So u = (6x - 2y) & v = (2x - 6y) Now find u, v & w for z = 1/2 +4i So u = 6(1/2) - 2(4) = -5 & v = 2(1/2) - 6(4) = -23 w = -5 - 23i Correct? w need conversion?
