Well, for English one example of grouping is parts of speech. There are groups of words such as nouns, pronouns, adverbs, verbs, etc.. For history, things can be grouped by decade or period. Biology/ science there's different classifications of animals. If we did not have classification, things would be significantly more confusing and unorganized. Hope that's some help!
