When the number of electrons striking the anode of an X-ray tube increases, the _____ of the emitted X-rays increases. number frequency energy wavelength
I feel like it's number, but I'm just not quite sure.
@theEric
Is this the photoelectric effect that you're studying? Do you have any guesses?
My guess was the number. I'm studying X-rays, but I just finished with the Photoelectric effect in the last chapter.
Is this maybe Compton effect, then? Because then I should refresh my memory before I say anything. :X
I don't think so, the only other thing they mention is the uncertainty principle, matter waves, and de Broglie wave
I misread the question, I thought photons were exciting the electrons... Now I'm unsure...
It's okay, I'll just go with what I have. Its an online class and I can redo the assignment if I need to without penalty.
Okay. Sorry I can't help! If it was what I thought it was, I'd agree that it would be the number.
