The length of the base of a square pyramid is 9 inches. The slant height is 12 inches. What is the surface area of the pyramid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

surface area for a pyramid is SA= 1/2 Pℓ + B so if you plug in those numbers it would be 1/2 (36*12) + 81 do you think you can solve it from there and understand how I got that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i dont understan how you got that but thank you anyways

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you want me to explain it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[V= \frac{ 4 }{ 3 } r ^{3} \pi\] \[V=\frac{ 4}{ 3 } 3^{3}\pi\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

top one is volume formula and the bottom is what you need to put in your calculator but don't type in the pi sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):
