In a normal distribution the mean is 20 and the standard deviation is 3. What percent of data is between 14 and 23?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

23 is one standard deviation above the mean, and 14 is two standard deviations below the mean. Therefore you can use the empirical rule for the normal distribution to find the solution. Are you familiar with the empirical rule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know what the empirical rule is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind I got it Thanks for the help! :)
