Well for b disprove means that. the readers know what you are trying to prove that is something false. It wouldn't be B. because how would you know what position your opponent is on but you're supposed to know so you can have good points in your argument. I don't think it's D. because the readers aren't supposed to disagree with what you're saying you have to get your audience and readers to agree with you and be on your side so you win the case. I think the answer is A.

Clearly the number one reason is to get your audience to believe your right
How are you gonna do that
By using data and facts to prove your point is right and that the other point is wrong
