In a paper, it says that wild female Abraxus grossulariata is heterozygous for colour of the eyes and for the sex chromosomes. My question is that how can a female be heterozygous for sex when it's sex chromosomes have to be XX?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe it's a typo?

OpenStudy (bioepic):

Probably.... unless it is talking about another sex linked gene/trait?
