\[\frac{ 30x^3+35x^2-100x }{ 21x^2-25x-4 } * \frac{ 28x^2-17x-3 }{ 32x^3+56x^2-60x }\]

@campbell_st , I know the first denominator is: 5x(6x^2+7x-20).

OpenStudy (yttrium):

can i?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well you need to factor the quadratic as well so the 1st numerator is 5x(2x +5)(3x - 4) the denominator for that fraction is (3x -4)(7x + 1) in the 2nd fraction the numerator is (4x -3)(7x + 1) and the denominator is 4x(2x +5)(4x -3) now I'll let you cancel the common factors and work out what's left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, question, for the 5x(2x+5) & 4x(2x+5) do the (2x+5) just cancel or it can't cuz the numbers in front aren't the same?
