how many types of machanics are there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think there are 5 types

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this question is nonsensical

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not exactly sure what you mean but, the topics included in mechanics are: Physical quantities, and vectors Motion along a straight line Motion in two or three dimensions Newton's laws of motion/ applying them Work and Kinetic energy Potential energy and energy conservation Momentum, impulse, and collisions Rotation of rigid bodies Dynamics and rotational motion Equilibrium and elasticity Fluid mechanics Gravitation Periodic motion Hope that helps, cheers!

Also quantum mechanics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think there's Newtonian mechanics and quantum mechanics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

fluid mechanics, statistical mechanics, ... the list goes on. this question is incoherent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In general; Newtonian with a subset often called “special relativity” and quantum mechanics for very small things. In specific, look at answers above mine.

OpenStudy (masumanwar):

All the mechanics mentioned above is classical mechanics and when we assume quantum hypothesis we got quantum mechanics relativistic quantum mechanics , qcd and qed
