Could someone please someone help me with one Geometry question?! I think I already know the answer I only need someone to explain so I can make sure!

Ill help!

Thank you so much! This is the question: A company is looking to design a new cover for their smartphone. The scale drawing of the design is shown below. The coordinates of the actual cover are: H' (10,0); I' (0, 0); J' (0, 16); K' (10,16). Is the design of the cover similar to the actual cover? I believe you need a picture right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, a picture is necessary.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I figured it out haha :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You just need to find out if all the sides have an equal ratio to the actual cover

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I do that? Ratios have always confused me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@brianakf @OrangeMaster ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm still figuring it out :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay, sorry!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the lengths of all of the sides including the actual cover and just draw a little sketch and label it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then find the length of all of the small scale one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know if this will help, but here is a picture of the other coordinates.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah it should

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG yes, thank you so much to both!! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're welcome!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem. :)
