What is the value of x? 4x2 – 20 = 5

the answer would be that X=5/2, why? okay, so first things first, in order to solve for x, you need to add 20 to both sides\[4x^{2}=25\]the next thing for you to do is divide both sides by 4 \[x ^{2}=\frac{ 25 }{ 4 }\]finally you take the square root to cancel the power of 2, so you get that\[x=\sqrt{\frac{ 25 }{ 4 }}=\frac{ \sqrt{25} }{ \sqrt{4} }=\frac{ 5 }{ 2 }\]
