What number should go in the blank to make this polynomial a perfect square? x2 + 24x + _____ Type your answer as an integer, like this: 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see x^2 +2(12)x+ .. so isn't 12^2 =144 missing to complete the square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer would be 144 because if (x+12)(x+12) when you distribute it or FOIL it is comes out as x^2+24x+144
