write this trinomial in factored form 2n^2+15n+7 please help !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the factorization of that is that\[2n^2+15n+7=(2n+1)(n+7)\]when doing these, it helps me to notice that, in general, the formula of a trinomial is\[ax^2+bx+c\]where a,b, and c are constant numbers, what i like to do is if a is any number other than 1, then when factoring it, that's going to be the first term in one of your factors, such as\[(2n+1)\]for any question like this though, the number that you add should always multiply to c in general\[7x1=7\]which is c, it's just a matter of placing the numbers in the right spot so that when you FOIL (first outer inner last) the terms you get the original. ~hope that helps
