OpenStudy (happpily):

why all cells are not target cells for all hormones?

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

umm...lets take an eg...u have thyroid stimulating hormone and u have vasopressin.. tsh brings about release of thyroid hormone from d gland...and vasopressin brings about taking in d water from urine....

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

now if tsh starts acting on other cells..it would be useless..because all cells would not have thyroid hormone stored..dat wud only be present in thyroid gland...correct... same for vasopressin... u can do dat for every hormone....

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

cells are differentiated so that they have specific functions..and hormones are responsible in stimulating these functions

OpenStudy (happpily):

Thank You sososososo much (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ ♥
