Oh jeez, I really need help understanding this question. I think I know how to do it, I just am confused. http://gyazo.com/7b4dcbeb7139c1724571fb129b36fd61
in a pie chart, \(100 \% = 360 ^o \)
so if i say half of the pie chart,(50 %)m it represents \(360 \times 50/100 = 180 \: degrees\) got this ?
Uh, I think so. So you have to divide it by 100? Or..?
lets take example from your question : food! (because i love food :P) its only 9% , so it will be 9% of 360 degrees its central angle will be \(360\times 9/100 =....\)
32.4?
yes! 32.4 degrees is correct for food :) did you get some idea on how to calculate central angle now? just multiply it by 360! :)
try it out for work
Alright, yeah I got that completely. Thanks tons on that. Do you always need to divide it by 100? Lastly, so that question is basically asking what the central angle of each section is?
\(x \% = x/100\) thats why we divide by 100 :) and yes! thats what the question is asking. and can you tell me central angle for work?
Awesome! Let me do that real quick. 72?
absolutely correct! you learn quick :) i am sure you will be able to do other parts on your own now :)
Thanks so much!
most welcome ^_^
I may need your help a little later on the next few steps. Would that be okay, if I tagged you in them if so?
sure :)
Thanks a lot. c:
