@shubhamsrg can help you on this one

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

You are required to find the area of a sector. The angle of the sector(in degrees) is 75, and radius is given to be 7 inches. Now area(in inches^2) = (theta/360)* pi* r *r where theta is your sector angle and r is the radius of the circle. pi is given to be 3.14 See if this helps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

64.14 in^2?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

Nop, please re-check your calculations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhh @shubhamsrg 32.05 in^2

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

That is correct. :)

OpenStudy (paki):

Radius is 7 inches, so the area of the circle is A = pi * r^2 = pi * 7^2 = 49 * pi... 45 degrees is 45/360 of the circle, or 1/8.... So the area of the sector is (1/8) * 49 * pi, or: 0.125 * 49 * 3.14 = 19.2325 square inches....

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

75 degrees. -.-
