okay what it is
whats your question ?
This is the question
well multply all sides and you will get = ????
try it
Question? Couldn't you just break out the parts and then find the volume and then add them all together?
I multiplied all of the sides and i got 589824?
split in parts...and then solve for each...at the end... add up all...
thats exactly what i was thinking as well @SparkyTheWolf just break up the shapes and find the volume of each and then add all those volumes to get the final volume!
Well to find the volume of each do I just multiply all of the sides?
to be honest, i have never heard of this technique so i wouldn't recommend it unless i was given the exact answer ( that probably not in multiple choice) then i might give it a go just to c if this techniques is right. But at this stage ...no..
No. This is the best that I can explain it. Draw a figure like that on a piece of paper. And cut it up. SO lets say on the far right had. You can make a rectangular prism out of that. And on the middle shape can be a giant rectangular prism also. SO all you are doing is making shapes out of the big one.
OH, okay, let me try my way and then we can compare answers =-3
I need to know how to find the volume of the rectangular prisms
\[\large V = L\times W \times H\]
Split it into 3 parts and multiply L X W X H of each then added them up and got 480?
I*
That should be it =-3, what do you think?
|dw:1398864529087:dw|
Lets focus on this part first |dw:1398864800038:dw| Length = 4 Height = 8 Width = 4 so that is 8x4x4 = 128 right?
