Buddhism was India’s dominant religion in 100 BCE, and then it expanded to become the dominant religion in all of Asia. declined in India but remained strong in other areas of Asia. spread to Asia but did not take hold throughout the continent. became obsolete when Hinduism spread into Asia.

I guess it declined in India, but remained remained strong in other areas. If we were to take the example on how Buddhism spread to Thailand and all, then yeh, makes sense for B to be the answer, since Hinduism did take hold in Asia.
