Ill give medals!!!! While mRNA strands are being created a sequence is sometimes miscopied. What will be the effect of this on the cell? A. The damaged mRNA may cause cell death. B. Future transcription will not take place. C. Ribosomes may be destroyed. D. Translation may not take place.

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

see now this totally depends on what protein is d RNA coding for. if the sequence that is miscopied is at the start of the mRNA then maybe translation wud not occur as ribosomes would not recognise d start site. the common outcome is that d protein formed would contain extra amino acids making it an altogether different protein...and depending on what is formed..it may also cause cell death.... so according to me choosing one of these is very difficult....
