Please see pic. Why in the Work Energy solution technique is the final Kinetic energy not including the Vc (velocity of center of wheel) and a seperate Igw(wheel)^2? I thought you need to include all of the points that are translating. Please explain if you can.

I know right? Could it be because the Vc is at the center of gravity so its not part of the kinetic energy?

Thats the only thing I can think of that differentiates that velocity from the others

Maybe these will help. 

Excuse the poor layout. These are old lecture notes I have that were given out by the professor. He seemed to like to create all his notes in Mathematica, without regard to readability.
