Paul's family drove 377 miles to the beach averaging 58 mi/h on the way there. On the return trip home, they averaged 65 mi/h. What was the total time Paul's family spent driving to and from the beach? A. 11.3 h B. 11.6 h C. 12.3 h D. 13 h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, so first you have to find the total travel time on the way there, and this is another D=RT. 377(miles)=58(miles/hour)T(hours) T=6.5 hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now you have to add that to the time on the way back, same idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, 377=65T T=5.8 5.8+6.5=total travel time

12.3 or no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup :)
