Find the side of an equilateral triangle whose are is 9 radical 3 sq mm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whose what are 9 radical 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops sorry the area is 9 radical 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Umm did they give you the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No thats all they gave

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ouch, okay so I'm probably really overcomplicating this, but because the area of a triangle is base times height divided by two, we have to find the height first, so we draw a line straight down the center

Parth (parthkohli):

Heard of Heron's Formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's a better idea; thank you for coming along. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I got the answer though
