Why is disagreement among scientists important to the progress of science? Facing disagreement forces scientists to prove their theories more conclusively. Disagreement proves that no scientific theories are valid. A scientific model is not useful unless every scientist agrees it is perfect. Scientists do not learn new information when their hypothesis is proven to be incorrect.
