Help please If a single can of paint covers 186ft^2, how many cans of paint are needed to cover the walls with TWO coats of paint?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are the measurements of the wall ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cross multipy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have choises?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of course the choices are 3,5,8 and 16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...well I did it wrong...leme retry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since painting 186 ft^2 required one can so painting 864 ft^2 will need = 864 / 186 = 4.465 or almost 4 and half of a can so MAx must buy 5 cans of paints (with no ceilings )
