Question on different electricity mains voltage and frequency. Let's say I live in a country using 240V/50Hz. I'm travelling to a country using 110V/60Hz. If I want to charge my phone, what would the difference in voltage and frequency result in? If it's the other way around, then what would happen? Sorry if this question sounds weird, I'm not an electrical major, just curious about this thing.

You can use a transformer to go from 240 V to 110 V but the frequency would still be 50 Hz. When one went to Europe in the 70's, and wanted to use their US turntable for music, you needed a transformer to go from 240 to 120 and change an internal pulley wheel to adapt for frequency change for 60 to 50 Hz.
