Let's say I live in a country using 240V/50Hz. I'm travelling to a country using 110V/60Hz. If I want to charge my phone, what would the difference in voltage and frequency result in?

If it's the other way around, then what would happen?

You can use a transformer to go from 240 V to 110 V but the frequency would still be 50 Hz.  When one went to Europe in the 70's, and wanted to use their US turntable for music, you needed a transformer to go from 240 to 120 and change an internal pulley wheel to adapt for frequency change for 60 to 50 Hz.
