2x + 5 < -1 2x < -1 - 5 2x < -6 x < -3 4x + 6 > -18 4x > -18 - 6 4x > -24 x > - 6 so we now have : x is greater then -6 and less then -3 or -6 < x < -3 open circle on -3, open circle on -6, shading in between
