i think its 3 i got 3 by dividing 9.72 & -3.24 (:

when you dive a positive number by a negative number, you get a negative number :)

Oh yeah its -3 haha but the choices are A. 174.96 B. -174.96 C. -262.44 D. 262.44

ok, so -3 is the common ratio :) each nect term is -3 times the current term! so the next term in your sequence will be 87.48 times -3 = ... ?
