Thank you!
@MelissaHolmes can you help?
um, okay, I'll give it my best :)
Thank you soooooooooooo much! Your the first to help.
so, for a) the overlap is the 5,6,7,8,9 going down the middle.... because they are the 10s place of the table. stem and leaf plots are made up of numbers in the 10s place (the stem) and the numbers in the 1s place (leaves) the stem is shared by all the leaves so that's what I would say :)
ohhh that is the overlap ok.
I have a question on the Mean. I know how to do that, but did I see it correctly. The left side I know for sure. But the right side, side A. Do I read it like this ; 61,61, 62, 65 and so on or did I do it backwards?
for b) since they are saying each data set; I would do one for the whole row of 5, the whol row of 6, the whole row of 7....etc. You would calculate the mean by adding up all the numbers. for example, the row 5 has 5 on one side, and 9 on the other. 5 is the stem, 9 is the leaf, so 59. there is only one number for that one... and yes you did it correctly :) just make sure, since on side A there are two 1s you have 61 twice :D
And I am not sure on this. Can't remember what to do. d) "Which set is more variable? How do you know?"
ok thanks about b)
i'll brb in a bit,.... it means which one; 5-6-7-8 .... has the most varied range of numbers?
and you're welcome :) I'll be back in a bit, k?
Side A does?
ok
