OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

How do I find the surface area of a triangular prism?

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

@hartnn

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

got picture?

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

well no, I'm trying to understand the formula. It doesn't make sense to me.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

a triangular prism, is just 4 triangular faces stacked up to each other at the edges so if you get the are of each triangular face, then sum all 4 up, you'd get the area of the prism

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

what about the 3 rectangles ??

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

SA = bh +P(of base)l

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

sa = surface area.

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

wait, I'll upload pictures to make it easier.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

same, you'd get the area of each rectangle, and then sum all 3 up

OpenStudy (mindblast3r):

bleh never mind I understand now, thank you.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
