unplug her phone/ alarm clock at night so she doesnt wake up the next morning

Lover her.  She's your mother.  Figure out why she really did not want you to have the thing.  Did you have a truly rational conversation concerning it?  Your mom is so nice - she wants to provide good things for you but cannot afford everything.  Why don't you volunteer to help her pay for something and then actually DO it!  That will show her.
