If Jacob wrote a 6-page paper in 5 hours and Olivia wrote a 3-page paper in 2 hours, who wrote at a faster rate? Show your work.

Olivia wrote faster.

5/6=1.2
3/2=1.5

So, Jacob wrote at 1.2 pages an hour, and Olivia wrote at 1.5 pages per hour.

Jacob: 6 pages in 5 hours would be 6 divided by 5 which would be 1.2 pages an hour.
Olivia: 3 pages in 2 hours would be 3 divided by 2 whcih would be 1.5 pages an hour.

Jacob writes at 1.2 pgs an hr.
Olivia, 1.5 pages an hr.
