How do you write an in text citation for an internet article? Like if you use something from that website and put it into your own words how do you cite it in mla format? My teachers making us use in text citations so don't tell me it isn't necessary to put an in text citation in.

I know how to write a works cited page, but I mean an in text citation... like where you put parenthesis with the authors last name and page number in them at the end of a sentence...

Thanks anyways. I tried google but everything says you don't need an in text citation for it but my teacher's insisting we add them and she won't tell us how so...
