@holly741852 thanks :D and Anestasia I'd probably go with (B), that the US improved relations with other countries to ensure access to natural resources it needed. It's also a major point of contention among critics of the history of US policy for the Middle East -- that the only reason we decided to make any friends over there was because of oil.
