Factor. x^2 + 6x + 9 A. (x – 6)^2 B. (x + 3)^2 C. (x – 3)^2 D. (x + 6)^2

OpenStudy (paki):

x^2+3x+3x+9.... solve now....

OpenStudy (paki):

@blueweek77 is it clear now...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still dont get it..

OpenStudy (paki):

ok... see... take x common from the first 2 terms and then from the last 2... it will be like this... x(x+3)+3(x+3)..... can you solve now....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do i distribute?

OpenStudy (paki):

so what you got...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2+3x+3x+9?

OpenStudy (paki):

no no... you will get, (x+3)(x+3)..... :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont get how..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@paki?

OpenStudy (paki):

its the pairs we got from our equation....

OpenStudy (paki):

so (x+3)(x+3) = (x+3)^2.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand how to do this

OpenStudy (paki):

ahhh... its so simple... i have finded the factors... and (x+3)(x+3) are the required factors...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then what do i do with the factors..?

OpenStudy (paki):

this is our answer....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's B?
