Please help! I'll give you a medal<3 It's fill in the blank! 1. Similarities in the early development of chickens and opossums suggest that these organisms share a ____. 2. Niles Eldredge found evidence in trilobite fossils of a pattern of evolution in which short periods of large change are mixed with longer periods of a little or no charge. 1. So if they have similar genetics and developments, that would mean that they have a similar ancestry right? in biology, that would be called common ancestry or common ancestor. :)

2. it is called punctuated equilibrium. equilibrium is when there is little or no change in a species, but there are short periods of large charge, so that would make it punctuated. Also, this is one of Niles Eldredge's main discoveries. Hope this helps :D
