Create an exponential growth function, f(x), to model a population of frogs that is growing every year. Identify the principal amount, the growth rate, and the appropriate domain and range for your function. Explain how these key features would affect the graph of f(x). My function is f(x)=120(1.05)^9

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

ok, so what was the starting amount?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It didn't state one

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

the equation you will make is \(y=ab^x\) where a is the starting amount, and b is the rate so I think you want \(f(x) = 120(1.05)^x\) this would imply that you started with 120 frogs, and it grew a little amount ....
