I am having trouble with this problem could someone please walk me through it? Carlos is planning to expand a square shaped vegetable Garden if each side of the original garden is increased by 3 meters, the area of the garden will be 81m^2. Find the length of each side of the original garden? If i could get the equation then i know how to solve it, im not good with Story problems, so i don't really know how to come up with the equation.

lets see, it is square so the current area is x^2. Now, I wish to extend each side by 3, then the new length is (x+3) and the new area is (x+3)^2. The problem tell us that this new area is 81, so (x+3)^2=81. Solve for x.
