I was alone for some time.
No one to talk to,
But you were there 
Just you and I.

I was hurt,
I was in pain,
No not physical,
But it still felt the same,
But you were there
Just you and I.

I tried to stop the tears
But pain would not stop scratching on the doors of my eyes.
But you were there
Just you and I.

When I thought I would allow death to come in,	
When I saw that rope to be the only way
You were there
Just you and I.

When all I needed was a friend, 
You were there
Just you and I.

When my light started to shine
When I realized all I needed was you,
You were there,
Just you and I.
