A negatively charged object touches a metallic object and causes it to have a charge. What is this phenomenon called?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm, inducing a charge on another object. I usually just call it a current (moving charges) or just "induced charge." Let me see if I can find another name that it may go by.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, probably electrical conduction :)

charge induction
