Please help ! Three whole numbers add up to 50 . Seb says , " All three numbers must be even number " . Is Seb correct ?~ ~ Yes or no ? ~ Explain how you know .

OpenStudy (paki):

yes TRUE... the three even numbers whose sum is 50, for example => 20+20+10 = 50.... odd numbers cant make 50... @grace111

hartnn (hartnn):

not always true 47+2+1

hartnn (hartnn):

there could be 3 even numbers or one even and 2 odd numbers that can make the sum = 50

hartnn (hartnn):

but NOT 3 odd numbers.

hartnn (hartnn):

because even + even = even odd + odd also = even

OpenStudy (grace111):

thank you :)

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
