I need help on an assignment due today. This is an independent project. You are going to write a fairy tale! Your story should include all of the standard elements of fairy tales. •Begins “Once upon a time…” •Animals can act like humans •Magical items or helpers •Ends “…happily ever after.”
Your story must also fully cover these math concepts. This is an educational fairy tale… the best kind! •Create a quadratic function with two real zeros. •Solve a system of non-linear equations with a graph. •Solve a system of non-linear equations with a table. •Compare linear, quadratic, and exponential growth functions using a table and a graph. Submit the graph and table. •Identify that exponential functions exceed linear and quadratic functions. You may present your fairy tale as a document, a slideshow presentation, a comic book, a video, or other medium. Any steps or work must be shown. I know How to write a fairy tale but don't know how to include math. o.0
Umm...? Use an element in the story that needs to be solved by a math problem? I guess...?
That's what I was thinking. But how do I do that? Like I don't know how to add it in and it make sence.
Have the main character or a side character think of a subtle equation like counting ducks in the winter and seeing how many come back in the spring? I think that would be a linear function idea... I have never heard of any teacher asking the student to make a short story on an equation, though...
Just randomly throw it in there... Maybe having an aloof character who's stir crazy about math would be a good idea... That way it would tie in a place for an equation.
Thank you so much! Your a sweetheart! :)
You're welcome!
