You'll want to start by identifying works in 2 different genres that you know well. That will make it much easier to do the comparison.

OK so you are familiar with the type of language used in Twiligtht. Do you have a letter that you've written and wouldn't mind making somewhat public? Or perhaps your parents or somebody has a letter they've saved the you could use.
That looks to be the simplist way to go.

OK, look for similar subjects, this might be hard to do. Is there a physical description in each one. or does each one describe emotions? Something like that.
