Nope that was wrong...according to this the formula is simply just v = bh.

Lets just say it is an irregular prism...so that would be 140 x 6 = 840...

You take the area of the base, times the height, in all cases of prisms.
Whether its a triangle prism or rectangular prism or a cylinder even (not quite a prism but its the same concept).
