what about the slope of a line between 2 points

Hmm, I know what you mean, but it is not a straight line, but like a reversed exponential line.

well it can be used for any 2 points on the graph....

Yes, but I can't be used on a exponential graph, because I won't get the exact value, I think

well if you have the equation of the graph... 

use some calculus to find the 1st derivative... 

this equation is the velocity equation... 

it can be used to find the rate of change in distance over time at any point on the curve
