What has to be done to get the time from a velocity vs distance graph? I have this exercise, but I may figure it out if I understand this :) Thank you in advance!

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

what about the slope of a line between 2 points change in distance ----------------- change in time it may help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm, I know what you mean, but it is not a straight line, but like a reversed exponential line. Thanks anyways!

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well it can be used for any 2 points on the graph....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but I can't be used on a exponential graph, because I won't get the exact value, I think

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well if you have the equation of the graph... use some calculus to find the 1st derivative... this equation is the velocity equation... it can be used to find the rate of change in distance over time at any point on the curve

Ohh I see, I'll check it out :) thanks
