Btw: I have to write a persuasive essay as well as include a personal anecdote in it so the subject would have to be something I've had experience with

Well that narrows it down. Does the personal anecdote have to be true, or does it just have to be included? I mean, it would be fun to do a persuasive essay about prayer being allowed in school, and in the anecdote play a Muslim girl/boy.
