A projectile of mass 100 g is pressed against the spring, compressing it 6.0 cm. The spring is released and the projectile is red into the air (ignore drag). It is observed to have a maximum height of 140 cm measured from the ground. (a) What is the spring constant? (b) What is the velocity of the projectile the instant before it hits the ground?
