Small correction: charges aren't attracted to neutral objects. The formula for force caused by charges is: \[F = k\frac{q_1q_2}{r^2}\] where q1 and q2 are the charges. If one of the charges is zero, then the entire force is zero. Thus, no attraction. Charged objects can induce charges on other objects, but that's probably a story for another time :)
