feel free to go through the steps with me if you want!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-100 but you know why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I do not ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you factorize this x^2 - 20x - 100 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

know how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, my bad, it's +100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2 - 20x +100 = (x-10)(x-10)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so by adding 100 to both sides you managed to convert the incomplete square "x^2 - 20x" to a square :)

Thank you again, very helpful in explaining
